Makotech has a technically strong team of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. The directors are highly skilled people, with a lot of practical experience in major firms in the region. Technical and administrative responsibility for project work is undertaken by the company directors. The Director qualifications and experiences are as follows:

Tafadzwa was educated at both the Gweru & Bulawayo Technical Colleges where he qualified in Electrical Engineering. He obtained his National Diploma from the Gweru Technical College, Gweru in 1988, and a Full Technological Certificate from Bulawayo Technical College in 1990. He is a Member of the Botswana Institute of Engineers and an Associate Member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers. His main duties include Project Management, Design, Site Supervision, Cost Control, and Preparation of Reports. He has over 30 years in the Electrical Building Services Industry as an Electrical Engineer, both in the private and public sector. He has worked in Zimbabwe, Botswana and the United States of America.

The range of his experience covers all aspects of electrical building services, design and specification of HV, LV systems, cost estimates, computer-aided design, tender documentation and project implementation. His last job was as Principal Electrical Engineer where he designed and managed a large portfolio of projects some of which have become land marks in the country. These projects include office blocks, hotels, shopping malls, hospitals, academic facilities, showrooms and residential complexes.

Educated at the University of Zimbabwe where he obtained his BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Shingirai is a professional engineer and has worked in the region to cover South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. His duties at Makotech include the day-to-day management of the business. His main duties are project mechanical services design, tender documentation, supervision & management and Preparation of Reports and Cost Control. He is a Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in building services contracting and consultancy responsible for all aspects of mechanical services including HVAC, fire protection, fire sprinkler systems, rational fire design, water & sewer reticulation, lifts and hoisting equipment.

Shingirai is experienced in services design for a wide variety of buildings including commercial buildings, public buildings, industrial sites, hotels, housing developments, hospitals, shopping malls, office blocks, workshops etc.
